I had moved to Colorado about six months before having this dream. Even though I was living in Colorado the vision was about Toronto.
I was walking underground, it looked like the subway line but also as an underground street. I took the stairs to the ground level. I was two levels down and went up a level. It was a subway station, very crowded. Took the train for a couple of stops. Got off and looked for the stairs to the street.
There was a huge build up of snow that was melting at the base of the stairwell. I Climbed the stairs up and out to the street. It was a glorious day. Warm and shiny. I was walking a street up hill almost reaching the top. I could not see it yet but just passing the hill I would see Ontario lake. I looked back towards the entrance of the subway station, the few people around it were minding their own business. I Looked ahead and continue walking up basking in the sunshine of this lovely day. At my right side there was this large and modern building, shaped as an arc in plan view It looked like a pyramid just at the top levels. The concave side of the building was facing me and the convex side faced Ontario lake.
While enjoying the beauty of the day, I clearly heard the sound of a small stone falling into a deep bowl and immediately new what that sound meant. Ontario lake had been hit by something big, and there was a big wave building up on the other side of the hill.
I run towards the arched building on my right, there was a long uphill entrance parallel to the street. On the right of the entrance you could see the ramp towards the underground parking. Separating the ramp from the entrance there were 10 6′-high square masonry pilasters at 8′ spacing connected by a metallic fence. The facade was full of glass, tall enough to cover the ground floor an a mezzanine, an above that glass covered every story.
Once I was very close to the entrance door I heard a loud noise at my left side, I turned and saw a fast stream of water rushing down the street I was just walking on. When I looked ahead again water was breaking the glass of the lower levels only. I wrap myself around one of the pilasters until the waters covered me. I woke up.
This vision is full of imagery and symbolism, and needs clarification.
First of all it started underground. There is no natural light anywhere, and I was two levels down. It represents more a holding facility (that I am trying to leave) than a subway line. Remember evil will always try to restrain you and keep you away from the light. The melting snow at the base of the stairwell is the last attempt of the water to scare me and hold me in. The water in a tsunami dream could represent either evil or punishment, so the melting snow is being activated, turning into evil in this case, to hold me down below.
Once I’m out on the street I am under the light, I’m free again and the Lord protects me. (Romans 13:12-14). But I made a huge mistake, I turned around, and looked back. (Genesis 19:26). I had disobeyed the Lord before the dream, that is why the dream starts in the underground. In my real life, I had recently moved to Colorado and was indifferent to the locals. Big mistake, you can not be indifferent to your neighbor, if you don’t know him or never talk to him, or even if he is against you, we must not take offense but be grateful and loving towards him.
The large arc shaped building represents the mountain of GOD, the top part shaped like a pyramid reinforces the idea. By facing the lake and the concave part towards me the Building is really protecting me.
The uphill long entrance, the side fence and the underground ramp together remind us that the only way to reach GOD is through a long and difficult life. In Revelation 3:21, “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” NKJV.
If things go too easy like on a wide downhill path, you are going in the wrong direction, the fence is there to remind us that there are no shortcuts, if you are going in the wrong direction turn 180 degrees and climb up, you won’t be allowed to jump the fence.
Finally the Building was full of glass, no columns or beams were visible. In Revelation 4:6 “before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal…”. NKJV.
And in Revelation 15:2 “And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.” NKJV.
These two verses remind us of the sea of glass in Heaven. This is definitely a dream of the Spirit.
OK, that is all the symbolism I could find, now lets talk about the tsunami.
As I already mention the water in a tsunami dream could mean only two things, evil or punishment. The underground water (melting snow) meant evil, but the water of this tsunami means punishment. Punishment to the city of Toronto.
The tsunami will be caused by the falling of a meteor over Ontario lake. It will greatly damage the nearby communities but it won’t destroy the whole city. Which leads me to belief that to punish the whole city more than one meteor will fall that day and probably just one in the lake, but the rest of them over the city.
The second scenario and the one I think is the right one is described in Revelation 8:10-11, “10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.” NKJV.
The falling of the meteor is not the punishment, the contamination of the fresh waters is. From this verse I can say that all the great lakes would have to be affected in order to get the third of the fresh water become wormwood.
The day of the tribulation approaches. Are you saved? What about your loved ones? It is time to think as a group.
