I have heard many brothers and sisters in Christ talk about the destruction of the US. This is being prophesied for many years now. This post is to reconcile those prophecies with the word of GOD.
We know that GOD does not change, (Mal 3:6) “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” KJV.
We must understand HIS word to know how HE is, and how HE is going to react to what happens on earth. What HE did to punish someone for a specific sin in the past, that HE will do nowadays to someone that commits the same sin. Whether that someone is a person, or a specific group of people or a country, it does not matter, they will receive the right punishment.
Just by reading the books of the Prophets and the books of the Kings, we can figure out where the US is failing. The LORD is patient, but that doesn’t mean HE has ever let go unpunished anybody that has committed sins against the innocent. He delayed the punishment over Ninive, over King Saul, over King David, Over King Solomon, and over other many Kings of Israel and Judah, but punishment came, at the appointed time. HE punished them or their descendants, but HE punished them all at the end.
Another important thought is that our Christian brothers and sisters connect the US with Babylon of (Rev 18), and I agree with the exception of (Rev 18:24) “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” KJV.
According to Jesus it was the Jews who killed the prophets, (Mat 23:30-31), “[30] And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. [31] Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.” KJV.
How can we accuse the US of killing the prophets when it didn’t even exist then. We can not accuse the US of all the slain upon the earth either. This Babylon at the time of its destruction is ruling over the whole world.
I believe that the US is better depicted in (Rev 17:1-18). Here the whore of Babylon has a more limited accusation against her, (Rev 17:6) “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” KJV.
This is a future accusation; the US has not committed any of these crimes yet and as a consequence it cannot be destroyed in advance.
Also, there is no mentioning of the killing of the prophets. She is not accused of that.
Another important thing about the whore is that the ten kings destroy her. (Rev 17:3) “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” KJV.
(Rev 17:12-13) “[12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” KJV.
(Rev 17:16) “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.” KJV.
From these last verses we can see that the ten kings kill the whore of Babylon, but Babylon the Great of (Rev 18) is destroyed by the double portion of the wrath of GOD. These are the first six bowls. (Rev 18:6) “Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.” KJV.

I think it is now clear that there is a difference between Babylon the Great of (Rev 18) and the whore of Babylon of (Rev 17). Babylon the great is not the US and it includes the Jews, while the Whore of Babylon that is destroyed by the ten kings is the US.
The destruction of the Whore is also portrayed in (Eze 25:14) “And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.” KJV. And in (Eze 35: 5, 15) “[5] Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: … [15] As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.” KJV.
Edom was accused of killing the people of Israel, their own brother’s sons, the people of GOD in the Old Testament. Nowadays, the Christians are the people of the LORD, and the whore will be accused of killing them as well as stated in (Rev 17:6) above. Those that destroy Edom as prophesied by Ezequiel will be the people of the Kingdom of Israel, formed by Ten Tribes. These Ten Tribes leaders will become the Ten Kings that destroy the Whore in the end times.
What does the US need to do to become Edom? Simply put, they need to uphold the Noahide Laws, and eliminate their own brothers and sisters the Christians, rejoicing while doing it, like Edom did.
When is the whore going to be destroyed? Luckily, there are three timestamps in the book:
- (Rev 17:3) “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” KJV.
- (Rev 13:1) “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” KJV.
- (Rev 12:3) “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” KJV.
We can interpret these properly with (Dan 7:23-26) “[23] Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. [24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” KJV.
The whore will be supported by the Beast until the Ten Kings receive their crowns, then they will destroy the whore. It is possible that they destroy the whore to obtain their crowns, that makes no difference.
The Antichrist will appear when the Ten Kings receive their crowns after destroying the whore. The Antichrist might die due to the destruction of the whore and resurrect three days after as an abomination from hell, he will no longer have the Spirit of GOD in him as in (Gen 2:7), and his Kingdom from then on will be the whole earth as Daniel says.
The Antichrist will subdue three of the Ten Kings and after that will be in full power for three and a half years. This is when the rapture will happen, after the whore is destroyed.
Everything points to a mid-tribulation Rapture.
