Job 33:14-16 “For God speaketh in one way, yea in two, though man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then He openeth the ears of men,…”MT&JPS.

This part of the blog is about my dreams, but it must be understood that the ones described in here are very special and very different from any other type of dream I’ve had. 99.9% of my dreams are not like the ones described in here. I can have two different types of dreams, dreams of the mind and dreams of the spirit. I can differentiate them because my dreams of the mind are based on my day to day activities, influenced by my own worries and desires, but they are very disorganized, confusing and even illogical, the edges of the images I see are not clearly defined, the colors are opaque and mostly grayish.

On the other hand my dreams of the spirit are very logical, they seem to have a specific purpose (which might not be obvious right away), all the images are clearly defined, the colors are very intense and the interactions with other beings are always truthful. In my own experience it does not matter if the beings that appear are good or evil, whatever they feel towards me will be shown.

Now it comes the hard part. Dreams of the spirit are not all dreams but some are visions in the spirit. Sometimes when we sleep our spirit is taken some place to see something. While this happens our spirit stays connected to our body but it is free to move from the present to the past, to any location or time. Once the spirit has seen the things it must, it returns to the body. Now the images and their meaning have to be passed back to our minds, so there is a translation process. The mind has to make sense of all that information so if necessary it will change it into something that makes sense in our own reality. Finally, the images appearing in our minds might be different from what was shown in the real vision but their true meaning will remain. We ourselves are the best interpreters of our spirit visions cause our own spirit knows what they represent.

From now on I will call dreams those dreams that have mostly premonitory message and not divine symbolism that need translation and deeper interpretation. Visions of the night will be called those dreams with divine presence or imagery. You will easily notice the difference between them once separated.
